Air-tightness testing in row-house developments

Meeting the air-tightness requirements set out in the BC Step Code can be especially challenging in row-house developments. This is because a lot of air-leakge can occur between units through party walls.

It is therefore very beneficial to test the entire building at once using multiple blower doors. The blower doors communicate with each other to ensure that uniform pressure is maintained throughout every unit during the test.

Lighthouse Energy Management uses multi-fan blower door testing to help developers to achieve Step Code compliance. They're used at both the mid-construction and as-built stages of construction.
